Update: My X Account (@AngrySysOps) Was Suspended — What Happened and What’s Next
Date: 4 November 2025
TL;DR: My X account @AngrySysOps was suddenly suspended. I’ve filed an appeal. Until it’s resolved, you’ll find all updates here on the blog and YouTube. You can also follow me on Mastodon (techhub.social/@AngryAdmin) and join my newsletter (sign up here). If you see “me” posting on X right now, it’s not me.
What happened
On 4 November 2025, my X account @AngrySysOps was suspended without prior warning. I received a generic notice referencing the platform’s “authenticity” rules. No specific post or action was identified in the message.
I’ve filed an appeal immediately and requested a manual review. I’ll update this post as soon as I receive a response.
Does this change anything for the channel and projects?
Short answer: No.
- YouTube: Videos, shorts, and deep dives continue as normal.
- Blog: This site is the primary home for updates, release notes, and long-form posts like this one.
- HackMeNow (my indie terminal-style puzzle game): Development updates and devlogs keep rolling.
- VMware / AI content: Tutorials, fixes, and labs stay on schedule.
In other words: same energy, same cadence—just rerouting community updates off X for now.

How to spot impersonators
Until my account is restored, any “@AngrySysOps” activity on X is not me. Here’s how to stay safe:
- Cross-check links: I only link back to angrysysops.com, youtube.com/c/AngryAdmin, techhub.social/@AngryAdmin, and github.com/AngrySysOps.
- No DMs for money: I never ask for crypto, gift cards, or “urgent” payments.
- Mismatch tone: If the tone looks wildly off—spammy, aggressive sales, or weird giveaways—assume it’s not me.
- Report: If you spot impersonation, report it on-platform and drop me a note via the contact form on this site.
Why I’m sharing this publicly
Transparency is part of this community. When platforms apply enforcement at scale, mistakes happen. Creators and engineers like us depend on predictable policy enforcement and clear appeal paths. This post:
- documents the timeline,
- provides official places to follow,
- and helps reduce confusion + impersonation risk.
Appeal steps I’ve taken
Here’s exactly what I’ve done so far:
- Submitted the standard appeal through X’s suspension form.
- Provided identity + provenance: linked this site, YouTube channel, Mastodon, and GitHub as proof of authorship and continuity.
- Requested manual review citing prior compliance (no automation spam, no engagement pods, no coordinated networks).
- Retained screenshots and headers of the suspension notice for reference.
If/when I receive a clear reason or resolution, I’ll post the details here.
What you can do to help (optional)
- Share this post with folks who usually follow me on X so they know what’s going on.
- Comment on YouTube videos to keep them in your feed (yes, it really helps).
- Join the newsletter so we stay connected regardless of platform changes.
FAQ
Q: Were you using automation or “growth hacks”?
A: No. My posts are manual (occasionally scheduled via native tools), and I don’t run “follow/unfollow,” mass-DM, or amplification services.
Q: Did you post anything that could trigger a suspension?
A: Not to my knowledge. The notice didn’t reference a specific post. If the review reveals something actionable, I’ll address it directly and publicly.
Q: How long do appeals take?
A: It varies by queue and case complexity. I’ll update this article with any concrete dates and outcomes.
Q: Where will the first confirmation appear?
A: Here—on this post—and on YouTube and Mastodon.
