vCenter Converter is back! General Availability of the vCenter Converter 6.3, download now!

The new vCenter Converter 6.3 is now generally available, more than three years after the previous release. VMware announces the official return of one of the most popular products among VMware customers. Following the success of the Beta version, which received over 1500 registrations in a week, VMware officially released Center Converter 6.3 and it is available to download.

vCenter Converter 6.3 extends the product’s traditional functional scope by allowing conversion from physical and virtual sources to VMware VMs, VM reconfiguration, and conversion of powered-on and powered-off workloads.

The new version is compatible with vSphere 7.0 and expands the list of supported source OS versions. We addressed security concerns and modernized the underlying technology stack to provide our customers with a stable product that meets VMware’s stringent security standards.

vCenter Converter supports a wide range of hypervisors, including VMware Workstation, VMware Fusion, and Microsoft Hyper-V, with an expanded list of supported versions that includes Microsoft Hyper-V 2022, 2019, and 11. The product supports physical and virtual workload conversion on Microsoft Windows, Linux Ubuntu, RedHat Enterprise Linux, and CentOS. Please see the vCenter Converter 6.3 product documentation for more information on the supported technologies.
