👋Hey there! I'm Piotr

Welcome to my professional README! I'm a battle-tested systems engineer who believes infrastructure should be rock-solid, boring (in a good way), and ready for 3 a.m. emergencies.

🎯Current Focus & What's Next

I'm expanding my expertise into the future of infrastructure—where traditional on-premises meets cutting-edge cloud and AI:

  • Cloud Computing — Mastering multi-cloud architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP) and learning how to orchestrate hybrid environments that span continents
  • AI Engineering Infrastructure — Diving into the infrastructure side of AI/ML: GPU clusters, Kubernetes for ML workloads, MLOps pipelines, and the unique challenges of running massive models at scale
  • On-Premises Evolution — Because on-prem isn't dead—it's evolving. VMware, containerization, edge computing, and building bridges between legacy systems and modern platforms

The goal? Be the engineer who can architect solutions anywhere—whether it's a Kubernetes cluster in AWS, a vSphere farm in a data center, or a hybrid beast that spans both worlds.

💭My Philosophy on Systems Engineering

I'm a dependable, battle-tested systems engineer who ships and maintains stable, production-ready systems. I put in the work: automate the routine, test changes safely, keep rollbacks ready, and document the path so anyone can follow it at 3 a.m.

My track record is simple—fewer incidents, faster recoveries, quieter alerts, and upgrades that feel boring (because they're controlled). I believe great infrastructure is invisible: it just works, scales when needed, and doesn't wake you up at night.

TL;DR: Ship stable systems. Automate relentlessly. Document everything. Sleep soundly.

📚What I'm Reading & Learning

Sci-Fi Obsession

Currently devouring everything by Isaac Asimov—the Foundation series, Robot novels, you name it. There's something about Asimov's logical, systems-thinking approach to world-building that resonates with how I approach infrastructure. Plus, who doesn't want to design systems that last millennia? 🚀

Tech Learning Path

  • Machine Learning & AI Infrastructure — Understanding how to build and maintain the infrastructure that powers AI/ML workloads
  • Advanced Cloud Technologies — Deep-diving into cloud-native architectures, serverless, and multi-cloud orchestration
  • Kubernetes at Scale — Going beyond basics into production-grade K8s deployments, service meshes, and GitOps
  • Security & Compliance — Because infrastructure without security is just expensive liability

🎮Hobbies & Life Outside the Terminal

Gaming

Elite Dangerous is my escape—there's something therapeutic about exploring the galaxy, trading between space stations, and occasionally getting blown up by pirates. It's like managing distributed systems, but in space. 🌌

Content Creation

I'm building HackMeNow—a hacking simulation game where you can test your cybersecurity skills in a safe, gamified environment. It combines my love for technology, education, and game design. Check it out and try to hack your way to the top!

Entertainment

Binge-watching sci-fi and action series when I'm not in front of a terminal. Currently rotating between classics like The Expanse, Battlestar Galactica, and whatever new sci-fi series drops on streaming platforms. Always open to recommendations!

🤝Let's Connect

Whether you want to talk about infrastructure, share Asimov theories, trade Elite Dangerous tips, or discuss the latest in cloud tech—I'm always up for a good conversation!
